Searching for curtains that give you that high end designer look? Well look no further! These are the BEST Amazon curtains!
Finding the right curtains can be tricky when you aren’t choosing to have them be fully custom. I have scoured the internet looking for the best curtains and I found the perfect ones!
And better yet…they’re from AMAZON!
These Amazon curtains are SO good. You do not want to miss out on this amazing find.
What I loved most about these Amazon curtains was the different sizes they come in. The hardest part of finding curtains is the correct size because many curtains come in standard length sizes such as 54″, 63″, 72″, 86”, 96”, and 108″ (these are just some length size examples.) They never have in-between sizes.
When you have 8ft ceilings like me, none of these sizes are going to achieve that high end look you are going for because of the awkward lengths. But, these Amazon curtains came in SO many in between sizes which I loved!
Here are 4 things to keep in mind when choosing the perfect curtains for your home:
1. How do you want your curtains to lay?
Option 1 (My favorite): Kiss the Floor
- Kissing the floor means that the bottom of the curtain should just be slightly touching the ground.
Option 2: Puddle the Floor
- Puddling the floor means that there is excess fabric from the curtain that is draped along the floor.
Option 3: Slightly Floating
- When the curtains slightly float, they are about an inch off the ground.
2. How far out should the curtain rod extend?
I recommend having the curtain rod extend 7 to 8 inches past the window frame/trim on both sides of the window, and the the finial (the decorative part of the rod) to extend 3 to 4 inches from the bracket that it lays on.
This makes your window appear larger and the curtains have more room to open, allowing each side of window to have the curtains lay nicely.
3. How high should you hang your curtain rod?
The higher you hang your curtains, the taller and larger your room is going to look. This is also going to help you achieve that high end designer look.
I recommend hanging your curtain rod 2 to 4 inches from the ceiling (or crown molding if you have that). I hung mine at 4 inches. This is going to give you the “kissing the floor” look.
If you want your curtains to puddle the floor, you will want to purchase longer curtains to achieve this look.
4. How do you want the light to filter through these curtains?
There are many types of fabrics to choose from when looking at curtains. Do you want a lot of light, some light, or none at all?
If you are wanting a ton of light to come through the curtains, I recommend choosing a sheer fabric. This would be best in a living room or dining room.
Some fabrics are light filtering which means they allow in some light. A lot of times you will find that these light filtering curtains are a linen fabric. I would recommend choosing a light filtering fabric for a living room or dining room.
Or, if you want no light at all, choose a black out curtain. This is going to be best for a bedroom.
Once you have these 4 things figured out you should be all set to order!
More tips for you!
Another tip I have is for a fuller look, purchase more than just one curtain panel for each side of the window. I chose to order 2 panels for each side of the window and I love the fullness!
Also, choosing a pinch pleated curtain will absolutely make your curtains look high end. These Amazon curtains have the most perfect pinch pleat that lays so naturally. They literally came out of the package like this!
If the curtains have some wrinkles, just hang them up for awhile and almost all the wrinkles will fall out. You can use a steamer to get the remaining wrinkles out.

Note: I have 8 ft ceilings, so I went with the 92″ long Amazon curtains.
